On a clear day in June the terrace has sun 07:00–21:00, about 14 hours in total. In short: morning sun, sun at lunch, afternoon sun and evening sun until 21:00.
The story of Ångbåtsbryggan
Ångbåtsbryggan is moored at berth 18 on Strandvägen, looking out over Nybroviken towards Skeppsholmen and Blasieholmen. The restaurant is built on a barge from the Second World War, with an outer pontoon that opens from spring to early autumn.
It opened in the summer of 2013 as a bar, restaurant and steamboat museum, a nod to Stockholm's steamer era: around 1900 almost 200 steamers worked Lake Mälaren, and four of them were moored alongside when it opened. Today Ångbåtsbryggan is part of Melanders Group.

How Stoligt works it out
Every ten minutes we draw a line from each terrace toward the sun and check whether a building or hill is tall enough to block it. Building heights come from OpenStreetMap and ground heights from Lantmäteriet, the Swedish mapping agency. The times assume a clear day, so clouds are not included here. They are on the live map, which shows today's weather.
Trees, parasols and awnings are not in the model, and we don't know exactly where on the pavement the tables stand. Treat the times as an educated guess, often accurate to within ten minutes.
