We don't rank anything on our own taste. We read what the guides and blind tests say, combine them and then say plainly which place comes out on top. Every placing links to its source.
Fika
K-märkt is the only place near the top of all four tests, for both cinnamon buns and semlor, two years running. Ritorno won the 2026 semla test and Eken that year's cinnamon bun test, but nobody is as consistently good as K-märkt.
Burgers
Franky's Burger is number one in all of Sweden on Burgerdudes' 2026 list, after second place in 2025. Three of Sweden's top five are in Stockholm: Franky's, Barrels Burgers & Beer (third) and Rockin Grill (fifth).
Fine dining
Frantzén is the only restaurant in Stockholm with three MICHELIN stars, and has held them since 2018. For really good food at a fairer price, the guide's Bib Gourmand picks out eight places.
Bars
Tjoget at Hornstull is Stockholm's highest-placed bar on The World's 50 Best Bars 2026, at number 51 in the world. Röda Huset on Malmskillnadsgatan came in at 83.

A first place gives 10 points, second place 9 and so on down to 1 point for tenth. In the MICHELIN Guide, three stars give 10 points, two stars 9, one star 8 and a Bib Gourmand 6. Last year's tests count half, and each list counts only once per place. On equal points, the place on more lists goes first. Chains get the placing at all their restaurants.
