About the terrace

According to the City of Stockholm, Piren holds a permit for a terrace of about 46 m² at Kristinebergs Strand 21. The permit runs 9 July to 15 October 2026. The terrace has been in the city's register since 2020, as far back as the register goes.

Kvällssol till 21:30, according to Stoligt

Times look wrong, for example because the terrace is on the other side of the building? Fix the location in OpenStreetMap and Stoligt will follow at the next update.

How Stoligt works it out

Every ten minutes we draw a line from each terrace toward the sun and check whether a building or hill is tall enough to block it. Building heights come from OpenStreetMap and ground heights from Lantmäteriet, the Swedish mapping agency. The times assume a clear day, so clouds are not included here. They are on the live map, which shows today's weather.

Trees, parasols and awnings are not in the model, and we don't know exactly where on the pavement the tables stand. Treat the times as an educated guess, often accurate to within ten minutes.
